Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Accounting (day, evening and weekend). Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Fauquier Campus, Middletown Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Compensation and Benefits: Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies. Note: Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting
  • OR
  • Master's degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Taxation) with eighteen (18) graduate semester credits in Accounting and a preference of a minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) related work experience OR
  • An alternative credential may be approved by the Chief Academic Officer for a Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance with significant certifications that demonstrate competency in accounting topics (CPA) and a minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) related work experience.
  • The ability to use instructional technology is required.

Additional Considerations:

  • Occupational experience in the field.
  • Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools
  • College level teaching experience, online experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
  • The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
