Position Overview
Adjunct Faculty members teach IT and Computer Science and Information Technology courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Doctorate or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field (e.g., Information Technology, Networking and Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering); or Masters degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science; Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field (e.g. Information Technology, Networking and Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering)
Flexibility to teach off site with industry partners
Ability to work Monday through Thursday between the hours of 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Ability to provide both theoretical and hand on instruction in the classroom
Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
