The Center for Research and Discovery seeks adjunct faculty members to deliver high-quality learning experiences in data analysis software programs for students on two of our three campuses.
The selected candidates will have responsibilities teaching face-to-face on campus courses to students in health sciences programs across a wide variety of programmatic disciplines. One position is anticipated for instruction on the Boston campus of MCPHS.
Deliver face-to-face on-campus in Boston, MA, didactic instruction to health sciences college students in various data analysis software programs, including Excel, R, SAS, and Tableau. Instructing students in the design and presentation of research posters.
Provide students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology texts and readings, assignments, and deliverables, as well as timelines, evaluation criteria, and attendance policies in line with those of the University guidelines.
Provide engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered. Support incorporation of health-related examples into the curriculum to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of software packages for data analysis.
Use the Universitys learning management system, Blackboard, to post a course syllabus, assignments, and other materials, and to actively engage with students.
Use Qualtrics to manage course enrollment and assessment mechanisms.
Advise and assist students through office hours or scheduled appointments by videoconference, phone, or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms.
Collaborate with student research assistants to deliver skills training sessions.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the Center for Research and Discovery.
