Overview
Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is building a pool of qualified adjunct instructors for Fall 2026 part-time teaching opportunities in our Cosmetology program at the Fond du Lac Campus. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs. In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner's classroom and career goals.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate successful completion of a state approved Cosmetology Program and two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experiences related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experiences, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. (Two years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight semesters of part-time teaching or four semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.) Candidates must also posses a current Cosmetology License from the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

Relevant certifications, licenses, and credentials may vary based on assigned course(s). Upon hire, must maintain and/or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.

Hiring Range: Adjunct pay rates start at $39.85/hour
Starting: Fall 2026
Hours/Schedule: Up to 10 hours per week (pending course assignment), weekday availability required.
