    Waubonsee Community College's Health Professions and Public Service division is currently seeking adjunct instructors for Paramedic EMT courses for the 2026 cohort 6. We also have lab experiences that are embedded within the didactic class times.  Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the division Dean.

    Modeling professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

    Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask as well as the ability to engage large groups of people with complicated material.

    Responsible to instruct in lecture, skills, or clinicals in the Paramedic Program per IDPH guidelines.  All courses occur at Northwestern Medicine/Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL. as programmed by the Southern Fox Valley EMS System.

    May be responsible to schedule and manage students' clinical rotations.

    May be responsible to prepare the syllabus, instruct the assigned course based upon the course outline and incorporate learning-centered college principles and concepts.

    Meeting all WCC deadlines for submission of attendance, grades and data collection for assessment of student learning.

    Working collaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.

    Responsible for course paperwork such as attendance and grade postings, and for review and entry of students' clinicals.
