Description

SUNY Corning Community College seeks trained individuals to teach courses in English starting in the Fall 2026 semester. Adjunct faculty are able to teach up to 12 credit hour equivalents per semester. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing material for the classes, grading assignments submitted in connection with the classes, holding an office hour for each course taught to assist students as needed, and conducting course assessment based on the department course assessment schedule. Courses may be in-person live, asynchronous on-line, or synchronous on-line, depending on the needs of the department. While course materials are provided, adjunct faculty are suggested to update and organize the material as needed. Adjunct instructors are invited to attend department meetings but attendance is not required.
Adjunct Faculty Pay Rates per 1 Credit Hour Equivalent (CHE):
All degrees must be official transcripts.

Occasional meetings at different CCC locations and in the community may be required; travel to conferences and/or recruiting events may be required. Prolonged time sitting/standing working with computers and monitors, ability to walk/move across campus including walking up and down stairs, ability to lift up to 20 pounds (occasionally may be more), repeated motions may include keyboard typing. Typical office and indoor building environments, occasional outdoor activity may be required. In accordance with the CCCs personnel policies and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement, regular full-time employees are eligible to receive discretionary employee benefits offered by the college. Temporary employees who work on a full-time basis for a minimum of one (1) semester (or five months) will also be eligible to participate.
