Position Summary: The Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of History will be responsible for providing high-quality, learner-centered education in topics in History. Primary responsibilities include designing, delivering, and managing courses across multiple instructional modalities, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Faculty are expected to demonstrate subject matter expertise, employ effective teaching approaches, and maintain professional standards in student engagement and course management. Possible courses to be taught include US History survey (3-course sequence), and seminars/courses in Archival Sciences, Modern East Asian History, Environmental History, Black or African American History, and/or US History, related to the applicant's specialty areas.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in history or related field, including Master of Arts, Information Resources & Library Science Master of Arts, Archives & Records Administration, for archival studies courses • 1-2 years of Teaching experience in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration or related field OR combination of teaching experience and related professional experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Engaging and dynamic classroom instruction • Ability to build positive rapport with students
