Job Description

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct part-time faculty day evening and weekend positions for a Math adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus Fauquier Campus and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Please note applicants must reside in Virginia West Virginia Maryland or DC.

Humanities and Social Science includes but is not limited to: • Arts • Education • English • Economics • History • Psychology • Philosophy • Spanish • Speech • Drama • Sociology

Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day evening and weekend classes. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day evening and weekends.

Applicants should possess a Masters degree have eighteen graduate semester hours in the disciplineprefix specific to the class and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Certain developmental or technical courses may be taught by instructors with a Bachelors degree a special certification andor work experience. AdjunctContinuing Education Faculty The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the specific teaching discipline.

Additional Considerations

Teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred. History of teaching or related experience. The ability to use instructional technology.
