Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in Humanities. Available assignments include campus locations across EICC, including college campus and high school building; in-person Monday through Friday; Morning and/or Afternoon availability desired. Online and Evening Teaching opportunities available as well. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Humanities, Classics, Humanities and Fine Arts or a Master's Degree with 12 graduate semester hours in Humanities, Classics, Humanities and Fine Arts, Anthropology, Art, Cultural Studies, History, Literature, Philosophy, Religion, Linguistics and Fine Arts. 6 graduate semester hours must be from the appropriate sub-discipline field.
A combination of experience and education may be considered. Some instructional positions are subject to minimum hours of teaching or training required. Community college teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of technology-based instructional tools is highly preferred. Ability to teach in on-line and/or hybrid environments is desired.
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The teacher must see and hear on a continuous basis as well as speak frequently. Positions may vary from standing, sitting, or walking. On a rare occasion it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc.
Salary $700.00 per credit hour; EICC retirees $1000 per credit hour. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
