Position Overview
This Adjunct Faculty member teaches Journalism courses.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes
What you will be doing
Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Masters Degree in Journalism or Mass Communications from a regionally accredited institution; or Masters Degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Journalism or Mass Communications from a regionally accredited institution
Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
Ability to function well in a technological environment
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
