Position Overview
The adjunct faculty member will teach courses in Engineering for MDC Online. What you will be doing
Provides classroom instruction Revisies and develops new curriculum Develops and implements assessment activities to measure student learning outcomes Develops and teaches online courses Recruits, advises and evaluates students Teaches Dual Enrollment classes Prepares and writes grants for the Department of Engineering Participates in departmental, campus and college committees Teaches engineering and engineering technology courses college wide Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Masters degree in Engineering; or Masters degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Engineering All educational degrees must be from a regional accredited institution Must have passion for teaching in engineering Posesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to use innovative teaching techniques Familiarity with distance learning and willingness to use technology tools in instruction Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student centered methods of instruction Ability to work well with students and collegues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
