JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Communications at Adelphi University invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach two undergraduate courses during the Fall 2026 semester on Adelphi University's Garden City campus:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will teach courses examining the role of media in the lives and development of children and adolescents. Topics may include media use and effects, identity development, social media, advertising, representation, media literacy, parental mediation, and the social and psychological impact of emerging technologies.
Responsibilities include preparing and delivering engaging instruction, developing course materials, assessing student learning, maintaining regular office hours as appropriate, and submitting grades in accordance with university deadlines.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,937 per credit.
