Brief Position Overview Great Falls College MSU is seeking adjunct instructors for Music and Art courses within the Communication Arts & Humanities Department. Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to meet instructional needs and may teach in-person online or hybrid courses. Qualified applicants must hold a masters degree in the teaching field or a closely related discipline with at least nine 9 graduate-level semester credits in the subject area to be taught.

General Statement Great Falls College is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Adjunct Faculty in Music and Art to join our Communication Arts & Humanities Department. Whether your expertise is in music history music theory drawing design painting or another related area this is an opportunity to bring your knowledge and creativity into the classroom and make a meaningful impact on our students. Adjunct opportunities may be available for in-person and online instruction with the potential to teach evening classes depending on course needs and instructor qualifications. Candidates may be considered for one or multiple courses based on their education and areas of expertise. As an adjunct faculty member youll create an engaging and supportive learning environment while helping students build their knowledge skills and appreciation for the arts. Responsibilities may include developing and delivering course content facilitating classroom or online learning activities evaluating student work providing timely feedback maintaining course records communicating with students and supporting the overall mission of Great Falls College.

Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and teach subject matter content to traditional and nontraditional students. Prepare syllabi consistent with approved course outlines and department expectations. Utilize the Colleges learning platform Canvas to deliver course content maintain course materials communicate with students and track student progress. Maintain regular and timely communication with students responding to inquiries and providing feedback in accordance with college and departmental expectations. Accurately report student attendance and participation as required by institutional policies and deadlines. Develop and administer assessments that effectively measure student learning outcomes and provide timely constructive feedback on student work. Submit midterm and final grades as well as other required academic records and reports by established deadlines. Stay current in the field through ongoing professional development and engagement with discipline-specific trends and practices. Contribute to a positive and effective learning and work environment by interacting professionally and appropriately with students colleagues supervisors and visitors.

Required Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills Qualified applicants must hold a Masters degree in the teaching field or a closely related discipline with at least nine 9 graduate-level semester credits in the subject area to be taught.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills Masters or Doctorate degrees in industry or related field Appropriate industry or field certifications if applicable Related work experience in degree area industry or field of expertise Successful teaching experience face to face andor online Experience in Higher Education two-year college or Community College setting. Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.
