Department Nursing Job Purpose

The Department of Nursing seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach in its undergraduate and graduate Nursing programs. The following nursing specialties are needed: medical-surgical, family nurse practitioner, community health, maternal-child, and mental heath nursing . A masters degree in nursing is required.
Essential Duties
Adjunct faculty function in the laboratory, clinical and classroom settings and are expected to prepare and grade course materials when necessary. Provide support and guidance to students; report grades and uphold the policies of the Department of Nursing and The University of Scranton.
Additional Skills Required
Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania, participate in the onboarding and clinical clearance process as required.
Minimum Education Requirements
BSN with an active plan to complete an MSN within 5 years.
Preferred Education
MSN or doctoral degree in nursing.
Minimum Job Experience Requirements Preferred Qualifications
Experience in direct care of patients and clients. Prior clinical teaching experience preferred.

As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool until May 2027 or until positions are filled for the current academic year.
