Adjunct Faculty Opportunities

Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC), a comprehensive community college invites applications from innovative and experienced educators for an Adjunct Psychology faculty opening. The class is a daytime class on the Dixon, IL campus for in-person teaching. At this time it does not offer online teaching opportunities.

Examples of Duties

The Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and reports directly to the Academic Dean.

  • To be mindful of the philosophy and objectives of the College and use them as guidelines in planning, structuring, and teaching courses.

  • Deliver engaging and effective classroom, lab, or clinical instruction tailored to the specific discipline.

  • Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications

We are seeking dedicated educators committed to student achievement. Successful applicants must be able to teach in-person in Dixon, Illinois.

  • Education: A Masters degree in Psychology.

  • Experience: Prior experience teaching in a community college environment is preferred.

  • Background Check: All applicants will be subject to standard background checks.
