The School of Professional Studies is seeking adjunct instructors to develop and teach in-person training for MBIs workforce development initiative related to QA/QC.

This 8-week noncredit program is being delivered year-round at the MCPHS Worcester campus. Faculty will be responsible for instructing students on the technical and soft skills necessary for entry-level lab administration and operations positions at biomanufacturing companies.

Students are non-traditional working adults who hold a high school diploma.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach on-site in Worcester an estimated two days a week for 3-hour blocks.
  • Develop engaging hands-on laboratory training sessions covering:
  • Workplace safety protocols
  • Professional PPE usage
  • Industry-standard equipment operation
  • Regulatory-compliant chemical storage
  • Precision measurement techniques
  • Practical exercises in inventory management
  • Professional documentation
  • Sample processing and quality control procedures aligned with industry standards and certification requirements
  • Incorporate expertise and participation from industry employees serving as guest speakers.
  • Curate and/or develop content assignments, presentations, readings, discussion boards, quizzes, and exams.
  • Develop and administer effective assessments in a variety of formats on the key learning concepts.
  • Provide feedback to students regarding the subject matter and the professional skills needed to be hired and perform well in the workplace.
  • Ensure the course meets the high-quality standards of other MCPHS online and on-campus courses.
  • Identify tactics to improve the course based on feedback from its initial delivery.
