The Department of Sociology at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an adjunct position in Sociology to begin August 2021 to teach courses in Sociology such as Principles of Sociology and Social Problems. Most courses are offered during the day (e.g., Monday/Wednesday/Friday.) Classes will be offered face-to-face.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
- Be prepared to transition course to hybrid or online approaches as required by the university administration
- Plan lessons
- Create and grade assignments, essays, exams, etc.
- Respond to student needs in person or electronically
- Engage in appropriate instructional practices, institutional procedures, and interactions with students, faculty, and staff as specified in the faculty handbook
QUALIFICATIONS
- A master's degree is required, with some courses in sociology. A master's degree in sociology is preferred.
- Teaching experience is preferred. Experience teaching online is also preferred, or demonstration of relevant technological skills.
