Adjunct Faculty Members Wanted
The Visual, Performing and Media Arts department at Middlesex College invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty Members to teach the following subjects:
- Media Arts & Design (Graphic Design) – In-person and remote online, with a focuson computer-based software, equipment expertise and contemporary content
- Media Arts & Design (Gaming and Animation) – In-person and remote online, with a focus on computer-based software, equipment expertise and contemporary content
- Communication (Public Speaking)- In-person delivery to teach the Fundamentals of Public Speaking
- Visual Art (Introduction to Art) - In person with a focus on increasing appreciate of art and building skills that explore elementary two and three-dimensional problems in fine art.
Minimum qualifications:
- Master's Degree in the subject or a related discipline (MFA, or for Communication; a Master's degree in Communication)
- Content expertise in subject area
- Experience teaching in a face to face, online or remote learning environment in higher education
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with Canvas learning management system
- Active and inclusive pedagogy
- Experience teaching adult learners and learners from diverse backgrounds
