Bethune-Cookman University Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Computer Information Systems Reporting Structure: The Department of Natural Sciences in the College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics Division: Department of Computer Science and Engineering Duties/Responsibilities: · Successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, establish and sustain an outstanding research program and be involved in proposal and grant writing activities. · Preferred candidates for the position must hold an MS or PhD degree in Computer Information Systems. Desired areas of interest are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications development. · Faculty members should expect to be involved in department activities, student advisement, student recruitment, and mentoring students. Education and Experience: · BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field and extensive related work experience or professional certifications (full Stack, CompTIA, CCNA, etc.). Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. · Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching at a liberal arts school. Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is required. · The candidate must be prepared to affirm and support the Christian and liberal arts mission of Bethune- Cookman University. · U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required. Preferred Skills, Experience and Education: · MS or PhD in Computer Information Systems. Preference will be given to applicants with areas of specialization that complement existing faculty. · A record of research and publication is desirable. Physical Requirements:
