Job Title Adjunct Instructor - Cosmetology of Ashe Campus Job Description
An Instructor's primary responsibility is to maintain excellence in instructing students in his/her curriculum subject with the express goal of attaining certain student learning outcomes. In addition to the primary responsibility, Instructors will be required to complete various classroom administrative duties as well as duties helpful to satisfy the goals and objectives of WCC including committee service and professional development.
This is a part-time adjunct position housed at the Ashe Campus, with the possibility of assignments in Wilkes. This position may require weekend and evening hours. The instructor of cosmetology position includes the following responsibilities and expectations:

Physical Demands
Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office or classroom setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Essential functions: Positions require lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate, ability to sit and/or stand for long periods, ability to move between classrooms, buildings, and campuses, ability to express or exchange ideas, and good eye/hand dexterity.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Requires walking, standing, and sitting with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details and content of the discipline, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
Salary Grade Salary $27.17 per hour for Associates Degree
