Job Summary: The Adjunct Data Analytics Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of all courses related to data and analysis and computer science. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This position reports to LSCPA's Business and Industrial Technology Department.

Duties/Responsibilities: Provide quality instruction Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives Attend faculty meetings Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field such as; Cloud Computing, Data Science, Information Technology/Systems, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science/Analytics
  • Industry Certifications such as; AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associates or Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Google Cloud Data Analytics Certificate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Tableau Desktop Specialist, SAS Advanced Analytics, Microsoft Data Science Associate, Power BI Data Analyst
  • Three (3) years of industry work experience
  • Work independently in the classroom
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess great time management and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in a qualifying field
  • Experience with Blackboard or other computerized teaching systems
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Teaching experience at a two-year college

Supplemental Information: Physical Requirements: Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure effective instruction and safe supervision of students in classroom and laboratory settings.
