    Part-time positions teaching one or more course sections of courses in any of the following areas: advertising communication studies, corporate communication, sports communication, digital media, journalism, public relations, media studies, dance, film, music, performing arts, andor theatre arts.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Under the direction of the Department Chair-Prepare and follow syllabus and teaching plans.
    • Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in a professional manner.
    • Prepare and administer quizzes and exams.
    • Evaluate and grade student work.
    • Maintain a minimum of three office hours per course per week.
    • Be prepared to convert class to online if necessary.
    • Develop and prepare syllabi, lectures, presentations, and handouts for teaching courses.
    • Stimulate and encourage class discussions.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance.
    • Create, administer, and grade quizzes.
    • Be available and responsive to students.
    • Remain current with trends and developments in his/her area of expertise.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Undergraduate degree in communication or related field and experience teaching at the college level.
