Lakeland University,a liberal arts institution, seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach an undergraduate History course beginning in the fall, 2026 term.

HIS 101: World History - 3 semester credits

Course Description:

The geographic, social, cultural, ethnic, political, economic, intellectual, and creative history of the world's people groups from human prehistory into the sixteenth century C.E.

Term Dates:August 24 - December 4

Schedule:

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

10:10 - 11:05 A.M.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess, at minimum, a master's degree in history. Teaching experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Teach undergraduate courses in history.
  • Work with full-time faculty and deans to understand and employ activities that meet course learning objectives.
  • Administer and/or develop coursework (assignments, projects, in-class learning activities, exams) that meets and assesses course learning objectives.
  • Respond in a timely manner to calls or emails from students, colleagues, or supervisors.
  • Use university technology as directed.
