Job Summary The Adjunct Learning Frameworks Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom instruction and lab instruction. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This position reports to LSCPA's General Education and Developmental Studies Department. Duties/Responsibilities Provide quality instructionExhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectivesAttend faculty meetingsMaintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trendsRespond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional mannerComply with campus policies and proceduresOther related duties, as assigned Minimum/Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in the qualifying field, or a master's degree with eighteen (18) semester credit hours in Psychology or EducationWork independently in the classroomProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Possess time management and communication skillsValid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Psychology or EducationTeaching experience in higher educationTeaching experience at a two-year college Supplemental Information Work Hours:Full time hours, Monday - Friday, with possibility of some evenings, depending upon class schedule Lamar State College Port Arthur is an E-Verify Employer.
