Sussex County Community College seeks an adjunct to teach English Composition I (first year writing course) for our Fall 2026 semester.
Instructors are needed for two three credit courses on Mondays and Wednesdays starting on September 9, 2026. The courses available are in-person on campus at our Newton location.
All instructors are responsible for teaching their assigned courses using a departmentally established course outline based on the master syllabus and assessing the course learning outcomes on the syllabus.
Qualified candidates must have a master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution. Prior teaching experience at the community college level is strongly preferred.
The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or a similar learning platform is preferred.
