Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor – Pharmacy Technology (Part-Time) position in the Health & Public Safety Technologies Division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Health & Public Safety, the Adjunct Instructor – Pharmacy Technology (Part-Time) will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop essential Pharmacy Technology skills. This position involves creating and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall success of the students. Through classroom, lab, and clinical instruction, the Adjunct Instructor – Pharmacy Technology (Part-Time) will ensure students gain the comprehensive skills, knowledge, and professionalism required for success as a Pharmacy Technician. This position may require teaching mornings and/or afternoons, Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position, working up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
COMPETENCIES:
· Knowledge of accreditation policies and procedures
· Strong oral and written communication
· Skills in developing lesson outlines and materials
· Skills in presenting subject matter
· Skills in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
· Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
· Three (3) or more years of verifiable field experience within the last five (5) years.
· Two (2) or more years of experience as an instructor in a Pharmacy Technology program. (Must be reflected on resume and application).
· Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician.
· A valid driver's license.
