Position Overview
Shorter University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Social Sciences invites applications for qualified adjunct/part-time instructors to teach undergraduate psychology courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong disciplinary expertise, effective teaching ability, and a commitment to student learning aligned with the institution's mission.
Primary Teaching Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate psychology courses such as:
General Psychology
Developmental Psychology
Abnormal Psychology
Deliver instruction consistent with approved course outcomes and departmental expectations
Use student-centered, evidence-based instructional strategies.
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Maintain regular communication with students (including timely response to inquiries)
Submit grades, attendance, and required assessment documentation by institutional deadlines.
