Summary

Graduate Counseling Programs of Regis College is actively seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a synchronous, online section of CP-656: Adv. Sem: Treating Personality Disorders. The Master of Arts in Counseling within the Graduate Counseling Programs is a strong and growing program offered in the School of Health Sciences on the Weston, MA campus.

Successful candidates will share a commitment and passion for working with diverse and marginalized populations. Candidates with experience integrating antiracism, intersectional feminism, and empirical science into their clinical practice and pedagogy are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions

  • Engage in instructional activity of graduate counseling courses as assigned.
  • Faculty responsibilities include time spent in direct instruction, hybrid courses, and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; conferring with students on course materials; reviewing assignments; and providing academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
  • Other responsibilities include writing syllabi, reading and responding to emails promptly, grading course work within a time frame that enables the student to incorporate feedback on their next assignment, submitting mid-term and final grades by posted deadline, and alerting appropriate college personnel to student problems on a timely basis
  • Use of use of instructional technology including learning management system, word processor, and video-based telecommunication software.

Requirements

  • MA in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Counselor Education, doctorate preferred.
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level, graduate psychology teaching experience in advanced clinical seminars, psychopathology, and treating personality disorders are strongly preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Sitting at a computer for up to three hours at a time for synchronous, online courses.

Compensation: $4,607.61

Regis has 20 men's and women's NCAA Division III athletic teams in the Great Northeast Athletics Conference (GNAC). The Athletic Facility includes:
  • Indoor facilities with three fitness rooms, a six-lane swimming pool, gymnasium, athletic training room, and team room.
  • Outdoor facilities with a turf field surface for field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer; an eight-lane track around the field; six tennis courts; and a softball diamond with a dirt infield and grass outfield.
