Rate: $1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). This compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size.

Brief overview of duties: Benedictine University is seeking experienced and academically qualified adjunct instructors to teach 1-3 introductory level mathematics lecture courses in Mesa, AZ each semester for the 2026-2027 academic year. Common course offerings include College Algebra, Mathematics for Everyday Life, and Business Calculus, with Statistics and Discrete Mathematics offered on an as-needed basis.
Most course offerings are in-person at our Mesa, AZ campus, though occasional teaching opportunities may be available online. It is expected that candidates can teach at least one course in-person at our Mesa, AZ campus each semester.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Instruct students in assigned mathematics courses, including designing and delivering lecture materials, homework assignments, and in-class work.
Answer e-mails and meet with students as needed for help.
Evaluate student work in a timely fashion.
Communicate regularly with Department Chair and course coordinator as needed.
