Position Summary
We are looking for adjunct instructors to teach in-person JumpStart (high school dual enrollment) classes for the Fall 2026 semester (August 10 - December 22). This position will report directly to the Medical Assisting Program coordinator.
Candidates must have availability to teach in-person Monday - Friday 8:00 - 10:30 am. Instruction will not be every day, but dependent on class schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
Typical duties of our adjunct instructors may include but aren't limited to:
Engage with students to help them learn in both synchronous and asynchronous environments
Establish high, but achievable standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated
Create class syllabi to include instructor-specific contact information and course policies and ensure the syllabus meets the Allied Health Department and BRCTC standards.
Plan and create lectures in class/remote discussions and assignments
Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
Assess students' progress based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
Report student learning outcomes and analyze student data
Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum
Stay updated on innovations and changes within their course field and within the field of education
Other duties as assigned to meet the Mission, drive the Vision, and abide by the Core Values of BRCTC.
