Naropa University's MA in Leadership program seeks an experienced curriculum/content developer to design an online version of the three-credit course LDR 615: Foundations of Leadership Theory and Inquiry during the fall 2026 course development cycle. This position is for developing the online content only, though there may be the opportunity for applicants to teach the course in a future semester.
LDR 615: Foundations of Leadership Theory and Inquiry
This course introduces students to the major theories and frameworks of leadership - from transformational, servant, and adaptive leadership to distributed, feminist, and decolonial models - alongside the research methods most relevant to leadership practice. Students develop a critical leadership vocabulary, examine the ethical demands different frameworks place on the leader, and design a small-scale inquiry project connecting their professional context to a guiding research question. This inquiry project serves as the intellectual foundation for the capstone.
Supplementary Course Description: The format of this online asynchronous course includes but is not limited to: reading, video, audio, discussion, written and video assignments, experiential exercises, student learning partners, student-faculty meetings, self-directed research, and presentations.
