Working Hours and/or Working Conditions

Macomb Community College offers on-ground (day and evening), remote and online courses. Please indicate in your cover letter your availability to teach on-ground (day and evening), remote (day and evening) or online. Preference will be given to applicants available to teach on-campus daytime classes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Job Function

The adjunct instructor designs lesson plans and delivers course content for a variety of courses in the Business Management program. These courses may meet on-ground, remote or online. The instructor also provides feedback to students including grades and suggestions for improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Delivers lessons in assigned class using Lead Faculty-provided framework and professional experience
  • Facilitates small group learning activities.
  • Assesses student performance through timely grading of assignments, projects, presentations, and assessments
  • Coaches/guides students through content/course through regular contact andcommunication
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in subject matter and 5 or more years Managerial experience or Master's degree

(preferred).

Qualifications

Preliminary Qualifications

Five (5)+ years' experience managing people and operations

Demonstrated ability to lead training/learning sessions

Experience in Microsoft Office required

Learning Management Systems helpful

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience
