Position: Adjunct Professor

Department: School of Engineering

Status: Part Time

Position Summary:

This adjunct faculty position will teach ENGR 310, Thermodynamics, for the Fall 2026 semester.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop course and implement effectively.

  • Meet classes as scheduled.

  • Meet deadlines as established by the School of Engineering and Campbell University.

  • Evaluate and assess student performance.

  • Post grades accurately and respond promptly to grade determination.

  • This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university is required.

  • Teaching experience is preferred.

  • Communicate effectively through both oral and written channels.

  • Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with University trustees, faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the business community and public at large.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
