Job Description
Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty position in Spanish. This position reports directly to the Department Head and is filled on an "as-needed" basis through a continuous vacancy announcement. All applications are kept on file and applicants will be notified when courses become available. Work may be performed online or in an office/classroom environment involving significant public interaction, whether in person, by telephone, via email, or through various communication platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teach assigned classes
- Support curriculum integrity in collaboration with the Department Head
- Follow the official Redlands Community College course calendar, including holiday breaks and designated start/end times
- Assess and encourage student achievement per student learning objectives
- Interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students, both individually and in groups
- Promote the mission of the Department, as well as the College as a whole
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Spanish or a master's degree in a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Spanish or a comparable discipline is required
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email, and internet use
- Oklahoma residency is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience in various teaching delivery formats is preferred
