We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach Public Speaking.
Example of Duties:
Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi
Meet all scheduled class sessions
Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems
Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program
Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties

Qualifications:
Advanced academic preparation in Communication, Speech, Theatre, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Rhetoric, or a related field (Master’s degree or higher preferred).
Demonstrated expertise in public speaking, oral communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to teach foundational and intermediate concepts.
Must have availability to teach during the day
Experience in college-level teaching, rubrics, and classroom activities.
Strong classroom management abilities and skill in creating inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning and speaking environments for diverse learners.
Proficiency with educational technology, such as learning management systems, presentation software, and online resources to enhance instruction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback and learning assessments to students.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff and to support the mission and values of a community college serving diverse communities.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $996 per credit taught.
