About the Role:

The Adjunct Religious Studies instructor will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education in the field of religious studies to undergraduate students. This position involves designing and teaching courses that explore diverse religious traditions, beliefs, and practices, fostering critical thinking and cultural awareness. The instructor will contribute to the academic community by engaging students through dynamic lectures, discussions, and assessments that promote a deep understanding of religious phenomena. Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple religious traditions and the ability to teach undergraduate courses effectively.
• Experience in curriculum development and student assessment within higher education settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse student body.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver course content for assigned religious studies classes in accordance with the institution's academic standards.
• Create and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments to evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical analysis and respectful dialogue about various religious traditions and issues.
• Maintain regular office hours to support student learning and provide academic advising as needed.
• Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and participate in relevant departmental meetings or activities.
