Adjunct Sociology Instructor
Mitchell Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Sociology Instructor to join our General Education team for the Fall 2026 semester. This position is open until filled.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Sociology, or a Master's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology.
Ability to successfully pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Prior post-secondary teaching experience is preferred, though individuals with a strong academic background and an aptitude for teaching will be considered.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, adapt readily to instructional changes, and collaborate well within a departmental team.
Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive lesson plans, deliver course instruction, and accurately assess student progress.
Assist in fulfilling the educational goals, curriculum objectives, and core mission of the General Education department and Mitchell Technical College.
