Indian River State College is seeking a creative and student-focused Adjunct Instructor of Theatre to engage and inspire students through dynamic instruction in the performing arts. In this role, you will teach assigned Introduction to Theatre courses, assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages artistic expression, collaboration, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate combines a passion for theatre education with strong communication skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds. This position offers an opportunity to help students develop their analytical skills while contributing to a vibrant academic and creative community.

This position requires an ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and to present verbal lectures/demonstrations, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. Some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
