The Role

Performs variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project/business/technical unit. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

The Administrative Functional Support position provides both administrative and clinical support within the Occupational Health Clinic. This role will assist with Medical Assistant duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing patient intake, and preparing patients for examinations. The individual will be expected to cross-train in multiple clinic functions, including phlebotomy, pulmonary function testing (PFT), audiometric testing, and laboratory support. CAOHC (Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist) certification is required or must be obtained as directed. The position requires flexibility to support clinic operations and provide coverage across various clinical areas to meet departmental needs.

Must Have

High School/GED and 4 years of additional education and/or experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, willingness to cross-train.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred or ability to obtain required training as directed.
• Phlebotomy experience or willingness to become phlebotomy trained. Pft trained and certified or willingness to obtain.
• Audiometric testing experience preferred.
• Ability to perform patient medical intake, including obtaining medical history and preparing patients for evaluation.
