Admin Nursing Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
Acts as the administrative supervisor for all departments during evening, night, and weekend shifts, including managing operations for closed departments. Serves as a key clinical resource person, providing leadership, guidance, and support for staff development across units. Functions as a dedicated patient advocate, challenging potentially harmful care and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Oversees and manages the patient admission process to ensure full alignment with hospital policies. Initiates cost-containment measures with a strong focus on optimizing manpower and maintaining safe, adequate staffing levels. Facilitates conflict resolution and cohesion between units while handling performance reviews and feedback for assigned staff.
Admin Nursing Supervisor- Education and Experience Requirements:
Licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut as a Professional Nurse (Required) Bachelorette degree in nursing or certification in a specialty (Preferred) Five years of current acute care nursing experience (Required) Demonstrated expertise in med/surg and critical care (Preferred) One year of experience in a leadership role (Preferred)
