Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Imaging Services, Radiology Administration, this position is responsible for performing clerical and records support in multiple areas and/or on multiple shifts. Responsible for scheduling patients for procedures based on physician office request. Responsible for exam related order verification and charge entry. The incumbent must be able to anticipate, initiate, and respond to department and customer needs, work independently without direct supervision, maintain the workflow, and prioritize and complete multi-tasks. The incumbent may also be required to perform other support tasks associated with Department of Imaging services.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. One (1) year clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting, is required.

3. Experience with CD creation is preferred.

4. Knowledge of medical terminology, computer entry, word processing programs, and the ability to file both numerically and alphabetically is required.

5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-direction, and good judgment are required.

6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, a bias for action, adaptable to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities is required.

7. Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers, functioning proactively to exceed their expectations is required.

PAY RANGE: $23.00 - 28.65
