    ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) is seeking an experienced Administrative Operations Specialist to join our Airport Surveillance Radar Model 11 (ASR-11) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a full-time on-site position at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC).

    The ASR-11, also known as the Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR), is a joint FAA/Department of Defense program that deploys advanced digital radar systems to terminal air traffic control sites. It detects aircraft position and weather conditions, replacing older analog systems to improve reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and provides enhanced six-level weather data.

    Citizenship Requirement

    All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.

    • Be a US Citizen.
    • Have resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.
    • RealID Driver's License/ID or current US Passport.

    Relocation Requirement

    Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Oklahoma City, OK.

    Education & Experience Requirement

    All non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate.

    • Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience is required; five (5) plus years of administrative experience is highly desired.
    • NAS experience is preferred; specific to Second Level Engineering processes.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • High organizational and clerical skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
    • Strong Customer relations, interpersonal and team working skills.

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with computer operation, electronic file management, operating various software packages, data entry, accessing network folders, and FAA property management.
    • Acrobat familiarity (Signing and creating forms, leaving comments, data entry, etc.).
    • Experience collaborating with technical publications staff on documentation or procedural content.

    Essential Daily Job Duties

    • Evaluate and improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and operational productivity.
    • Research and assess NAS Engineering needs, ensuring REGIS or equivalent systems are accurately updated.
    • Process and log purchase requests and authorizations, coordinating approvals and supporting budget submission.
    • Maintain accurate property records and inventory details, including location, value, and documentation.
    • Assist with inventories as a Property Delegate, preparing documentation for receipts, transfers, excess property, capitalization, cannibalization, and related actions.
    • Collaborate with FAA Property Custodians and Personal Property Officers to resolve discrepancies and support property‑management procedures.
    • Develop, write, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist Technical Publications Editors/Writers with documentation.
    • Provide general administrative support, including routing visitors, handling mail, and occasional conference room setup, minute‑taking, and presentation support.

    Work Environment

    • Full-time position with a standard work schedule.
    • Lifting up to 15 lbs for small office supply orders or GFE.
    • 10% travel possible.
    • Cubicle environment.
