    Position: Executive Coordinator of Technology

    Supervisor: Senior Director of Technology

    General Job Description: The Coordinator of Technology provides leadership and oversight for the

    districts technology infrastructure, technical support services, and enterprise systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations that support teaching, learning, and district business. Working collaboratively with district leadership, this position coordinates technology initiatives, supervises technical staff, manages network operations and data systems, and supports the implementation of technology solutions aligned with the districts strategic goals.

    General Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Technology to develop, implement, and evaluate the districts technology strategic plan in support of instructional and operational goals.
    • Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the Technology Department, prioritizing and assigning work to technical staff to ensure timely, efficient, and equitable service delivery.
    • Monitor emerging technologies, industry best practices, and educational technology trends, making recommendations that improve system performance, operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and instructional support.
    • Coordinate the installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing operation of the districts network infrastructure, including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), wireless systems, and related network services.
    • Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and replacement of district technology equipment not covered under vendor warranty, maintenance agreements, or facilities services, ensuring minimal disruption to district operations.
    • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information related to personnel matters, student records, district operations, labor relations, and other protected information in accordance with applicable laws and district policies.
    • Provide advanced technical leadership and support for district information systems, facilitating secure and reliable data exchange between schools, departments, and enterprise applications.
    • Partner with the Coordinator of Instructional Technology and district stakeholders to evaluate, recommend, procure, and implement instructional technologies, hardware, software, and digital resources that support teaching and learning.
    • Serve as the districts technology liaison for enterprise data reporting by coordinating data requests, ensuring data integrity, and supporting district leaders with timely, accurate, and meaningful information for decision-making.
    • Develop, document, and maintain technology standards, operational procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and sustainability across district technology systems.
    • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support technology initiatives, equipment procurement, warranty services, and contracted technology projects.
    • Assist in planning and coordinating technology infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, equipment refresh cycles, and implementation of new technologies.
    • Monitor technology service requests and performance metrics to ensure high levels of customer service and continuous improvement in technical support operations.
    • Support district efforts to maintain secure technology environments through adherence to cybersecurity practices, disaster recovery planning, backup procedures, and technology continuity initiatives.

    Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform other tasks as may be deemed appropriate and necessary by the immediate supervisor and/or Superintendent.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • B.S. or B.A. degree is preferred but equivalent technology training and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

    Terms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

    Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling, fingering or otherwise working with fingers, moving light furniture, moving equipment is required.

    Safety and Health: Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions.

    Equipment/Material Handled: Must know how to properly operate, or be willing to learn to operate, all multimedia equipment including current technology.

    Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Job responsibilities include both inside and outside assignments. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments. Regular visits to schools are required for maintenance and/or installation purposes. After-hours work may be required. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
