Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections Center in Lewiston, Idaho is now hiring for a full-time Administrative Assistant I (AA1). If yes, then this is the position for you! The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections is seeking an engaging Administrative Assistant I, to join IDJC's team. This position provides office support to internal IDJC Programs on an as-needed basis. The variety of office support provided by this role will require an in-depth knowledge of the assigned program areas, which the agency will provide during on-the-job training.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8-5
Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of multiple procedures, policies, and program guidelines to make decisions across a variety of tasks and situations.
- Respond to non-routine inquiries by explaining department services, policies, procedures, and the rationale behind decisions to customers and stakeholders.
- Utilize a variety of computer applications and systems to complete daily work assignments efficiently and accurately.
- Perform administrative and office support functions, including composing correspondence; creating, reviewing, processing, and maintaining documents and records.
- Review documents for accuracy, identify and correct errors or omissions, and process information received from staff, departments, and the public.
- Maintain records and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with established procedures.
- Schedule appointments and services, coordinate meetings, and arrange business travel as needed.
- Assist the Education Team across the agency with some IT related administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge pertaining to rules of effective business English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
2 years or more of working experience in the following categories:
- using alphabetical, numerical, or subject filing systems to include determining file names, setting up new files, classifying, labeling, filing, and retrieving.
- reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures
- using a computer to enter and retrieve information.
- answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette.
MQ Specalialties: 1 year or more of working experience in the following categories:
- operating word processing equipment and software
- using dictation/transcription equipment to transcribe tapes
- using spreadsheet software; using database software
- Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access
Preferred Qualifications:
- Taking Minutes
- Scheduling events
