The Arizona State Hospital (ASH) provides inpatient psychiatric care to persons with serious mental illness who need long-term behavioral health care. Job Summary:
This position will provide mail and property services to the Civil and Forensic Hospital. This includes all work related to patient, clinical staff and administrative mail and property services. This position shall pick up mail Monday through Friday (except Holidays), separates, X-Ray packages for contraband, completes all documentation and issue procedures to including update patient property logs. Provides as needed Courier services for inter-agency mail. Perform Security Control Room operations as required to support staffing and operational needs.
Job Duties:
Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail following established processes for all incoming patient mail/packages.
Issue patient packages following established processes.
Conducts Courier duties as needed
Prepare and compile a variety of administrative assignments including work of considerable difficulty that must remain confidential.

High School diploma or equivalent, previous mail room experience a plus.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Driver's License
Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issues pursuant to A.R.S.41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within seven working days after beginning employment.

Retirement:
To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will make a contribution to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit. New State employees have a 27 week wait period for contributions to begin.
