Target hiring range for this position will be between $23.00-$25.00 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
This position provides upper-level administrative support for the Department Chair, Business Administrator, and faculty at the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Provides excellent day-to-day customer service to faculty, students, and staff in the most front-facing role in the department in a variety of tasks critical to daily operations and business office management. Manages various seminar series, which involves event planning, scheduling, agendas, communications, and marketing. Coordinates most department-wide events. Maintains department website and other marketing media. Assists Graduate Program Coordinator and Undergraduate Assistant Chair on undergraduate program related support. Maintains business office inventory. Assists Business Administrator with annual space survey.
This is an independent role within a strong team that applies industry and professional standards, and university policy and procedure. Displays high levels of organization, and provides a flexibility in range to support various facets of department operations.
