Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Administrative Assistant who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Civilian Institution Programs (AFIT/CI) at WPAFB, OH. 

AFIT/CI is the Air Force’s professional arm managing and providing administrative control and funding support to Air Force and Space Force officers, enlisted, and civilians selected to complete advanced academic and professional degrees, fellowships with industry partners, and medical professional residencies in sister services, federal agencies, and non-federal educational programs located in the United States and abroad. Additionally, AFIT/CI funds the Air Force Medical Command (AFMED) Health Professions Loan Repayment Program. Each year, the Civilian Institution Programs Directorate supports over 2,500 active duty and reserve officers enrolled in educational programs nationwide and overseas and evaluates and processes loan repayments for over 45 participants in the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program. The Directorate's advanced academic degrees, fellowships, and medical professional residencies range in length anywhere from ten months to seven years and are conducted in primarily traditional face-to-face, brick and mortar campus classroom and business industry settings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

  • Provide administrative support to government personnel, including the CIM HPSP/FAP programs director, division chiefs, program managers, and other office staff.
  • Assist with record audits to ensure program and scholarship requirements have been met, and that the student contract terms for tuition and benefits payments have been satisfied.
  • Responsible for optimizing management functions to include decision making support and policy formulation/communication support. 
  • Provide support to include collecting data from multiple sources to analyze management functions and processes; develop, maintain, sort, and update existing and new management databases to support all educational management functions; evaluate and suggest updated processes to optimize time, cost and implementation of processes to support all educational management functions; and suggest appropriate metrics to be derived from databases to optimize operations of AFIT/CI. 
  •  Communicate and train staff on processes; document how all management support functions are maintained and update all related websites including but not limited to the AFIT CI website and AFIT/CI SharePoint site as needed with relevant policy, data and processes.        

Requirements

  • Clearance: Tier 1
  • Master of Science (MS) / Master of Arts (MA)) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoW; or
  • Bachelor of Science (BS)/Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoW; or
  • Twenty years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoW
