About the Role

SEA, Ltd., a national forensic engineering firm, is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join our corporate team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you'll work closely with our national business development and corporate marketing teams providing administrative and organizational support. This role assists with scheduling, maintaining client and prospect records, preparing proposals and marketing materials, and coordinating internal communications to support ongoing growth efforts. Please note that this is a fully in-office opportunity the first year. We enjoy collaborating in-person each day! Flexplace policy following the first 12 months may allow one remote day thereafter.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, correspondence, and scheduling for business development team
  • Provide general administrative and operational support
  • Obtains information & compiles records to enter requests for conflict searches and coordinate client communication as requested
  • Helps to coordinate, plan and execute in-office meetings and events
  • Acts as brand ambassador for S-E-A both internally and externally
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology
  • Assist with planning, logistics, and on-site execution of marketing and business development events, including coordinating vendors, venues and event materials
  • Coordinate inventory of marketing and business development collateral
  • Handle details for conferences and industry events, including registration and hotel booking, shipping and receiving of event materials and booth supplies, and pre-event preparation
  • Attend business development and marketing meetings
  • Assist with data entry, cleanliness, accuracy and record maintenance in Salesforce CRM
  • Support content drafting and scheduling for marketing-related social channels such as LinkedIn, and other content as requested
  • Assist with proofreading and execution of marketing content as requested
  • Assist with presentations for the company by monitoring and organizing incoming requests, communicating and tracking details, and assisting with continuing education submittals
  • Regular and predictable presence at work

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but commensurate experience is considered
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional office experience preferred
  • At least (1) year experience with marketing tasks such as copywriting or content creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Accept and integrate constructive feedback int job performance
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time (largely local to company events)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and varying deadlines
  • Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance
  • Ability to maneuver around the office
  • Ability to use a computer/keyboard
