Ledyard Public Schools is seeking a Central Office Administrative Assistant. This is a full time, year round position at Ledyard Public Schools Central Office and is to fill an anticipated vacancy.

Under the general supervision of the administration, the Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of clerical, secretarial, and recordkeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support to leadership and staff as requested
  • Creates forms, compiles and organizes data and information necessary for the efficient operation of the office
  • Maintains appointment and event calendars
  • Coordinates meetings and events
  • Communicates effectively in routine, sensitive, and confidential matters
  • Responds to routine questions and requests for the administration using various communication methods
  • Demonstrates a high degree of relationship management, fostering professional and effective interpersonal relationships to contribute to a positive working relationship with Ledyard Public Schools
  • Performs special assignments, studies, routine administrative functions and other related duties as assigned by the administration or designee.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize work projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and decision making skills; ability to work with employees and the public in a professional, effective, and courteous manner
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite office software
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a secretarial or administrative support role
  • High school diploma required
