We are currently in search of an Administrative Assistant for a Racial Justice Advocacy Nonprofit. The position is On-site in Washington, DC. This is a part-time, temporary position.

SCHEDULE: 20 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary (ongoing)
HOURLY RATE: $23.00 - $25.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Administrative Assistant will provide programmatic and administrative support to the organization’s Research Pilot Project, which focuses on mother-led policy work for Black mothers navigating the family policing system. This role ensures intake, scheduling, and documentation run smoothly for the program so that mothers receive consistent, high-quality support. The position will also provide logistical and administrative support to the organization’s broader programs and is ideal for an organized and discreet administrative professional.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Experience in administrative support, program coordination, or data entry
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· Experience using Google Workspace, Excel, DocuSign, MailChimp or Constant Contact, and Asana (or other similar project management tools)
· Familiarity with Canva and Little Green Light (or other CRMs) a plus
· Experience working for a social justice organization, particularly in a smaller-sized environment, a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Research Pilot Project Support:
· Provide core administrative support for staff outreach and enrollment activities related to the Research Pilot Project
· Schedule and coordinate Guaranteed Income Research Pilot intakes and interviews
· Support scheduling and logistics for recruitment of mothers into the Research Pilot Project
· Coordinate logistics for program documents, ensuring mothers have the materials they need to participate
· Process intake and related documents
Broader Program & Administrative Support:
· Support logistical and scheduling needs directly for mothers participating in other programs and activities across the organization
· Track volunteer participation and mother participation across programs
· Support use of Bitly links and other simple communications tools
· Support event scheduling and logistics
· Collect and organize invoices
· Provide backup administrative support to the Executive Director as needed
· Support day-to-day office operations at the organization’s Navy Yard location
